About Dr. Lori
Dr. Lori brings personal and family experience to her work. In elementary school, she was diagnosed with a Learning Disability. This started her on her quest to work with those with learning differences (i.e., LD, ADHD, and Autism), supporting their mental health, education, life skills, and relationships. In adulthood, she developed chronic health conditions, as well as became a caretaker for family with medical, developmental, and mental health issues. This led her down the path of working within the intersection of Neurodivergence and Chronic/Acute Health Conditions. While Dr. Lori grew up in Chicago, she spent time living in London (UK), NYC, Little Rock (Arkansas), and outside Cleveland (Ohio). She enjoys photography, puzzles, Sci-Fi, cooking, travel, and exploring nature, as well as spending time with her son and cats.
Every individual has the right to thrive in our society, regardless of race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability. From the start, her doctoral program taught culturally-sensitive therapy. Dr. Lori continues this work by attending Cultural Diversity and Implicit Bias trainings. She do not shy away from Social Justice issues and, if you want to bring them into the room, they are welcome.
